Marcus has no regrets for his betrayal, but only for his failure to carry out his mission and is incarcerated. However the monarch thwarts his plan and regains the trust of the Vestholm people.
Marcus plans to have the other knights separated, sent far away and imprisoned for life. With the city overrun with the Red Prince's men, all the knights except an escaping one are captured. After the capture of Crimson, the knights realise that their homeland is in danger, so they all return to save the city of Vestholm. The other knights remain unaware of Marcus' betrayal, taking his absence for understandable complications. By the time the monarch liberates the whole of Janub, Marcus makes the decision to betray his fellow knights (considered canon, but any knight that has been picked the least will become the traitor) and has a secret meeting in the throne room with Crimson Sabatt to allow him full rule of Westerlin in exchange for swearing fealty to the Red Prince and to pay regular taxes. When the monarch focuses on Narlind, he reveals that he had fought the raiders since childhood. When Kestral joins the circle of knights, he regards her as a bandit and that leads a bad example, despite the good word put out for her.
Active ability: Can supply his troops with Torches, without needing to replenish at a fort or castle.Passive ability: Recruiting battalions costs less gold.He rides a white horse, wearing the colours of his clothes. He is very eager to participate in the missions set before the monarch. He is a firm believer of justice and prefers force over persuasion. As he comes from the ranks of the settlers, he is familiar with their customs and traditions. Nothing is dearer to his heart than the protection of all those under his command. Lord Marcus is a man of the people, and the settlers worship him because he contributes greatly to their welfare. Marcus is a young knight, who has risen through the ranks to attain this lofty position.
